We are located near the Alfred University School of Ceramics Art and Design, recognized as one of the best in the world. The Alfred program was founded by Charles Fergus Binns who is considered to be the Father of American Studio Ceramics. We have fine examples of some of Alfred's best artists: Robert Turner,Daniel Rhodes, Charles Harder, Ted Randall, Val Cushing, David Shaner, Bobby Silverman, Tom Spleth, Fong Chow, Arthur Baggs, CK Nelson, Frederick Walrath and even a fine Charles F Binns Vase. Alfred was also the home of Glidden Pottery from 1941 to 1957. We have one of the best inventories of Glidden anywhere. During the recent Glidden Pottery Exhibit at the Schein-Joseph International Museum of Ceramic Art we had over 50 items exhibited. Many were also included in the Glidden Pottery Book that was published this year and written by Margaret Carney. We are always in the market to purchase any of these related items.
